Fort Fisher: Historical Site and Recreation
Deciding to visit Fort Fisher, I received from the travel much more than I actually expected. During the travel, I not only satisfied my curiosity through visiting one of the most important historical sites attributed to the American Civil War, but also enjoyed leisure at the ocean shore.
This fort which until the last few months of the Civil War was responsible for the supply of necessary goods to Confederate Armies played an important role in the development of events during the Civil War in general.

My excursion at Fort Fisher started at the visitor center where I was offered an audiovisual program exploring the main stages in the history of the fort. The historical materials were presented in such a fascinating manner that I was really impressed with them. After viewing this program, I decided to order a custom paper at custom writing companies on Fort Fisher so that to deepen my knowledge on the problem. Unfortunately, now there is only ten percent of former Fort Fisher which were restored and can be seen by visitors. Still, the atmosphere of this historical site and the audiovisual program offered by the visitor center allowed me to restore the ancient fortifications in my imagination. Moreover, the geographical location of this historically significant place with its sunny ocean shore added some special appeal to my traveling. Looking at the limitless ocean and blue sky, I could not believe that the Federal ships were violently bombarded at this very site, so peaceful it looks at the moment.
